That’s a wrap! I’ve just put the finishing touches on my new PDF magazine and I’m excited to share it with you. What I’m even more ecstatic about, is for you to learn how detail oriented a session is with me. It’s jam-packed with actionable advice on how to prep for a session, examples of my work, and products.⠀
If you would like me to send it over to you, feel free to direct message me, email me (Hello@TrisAnderson.com), or comment below. ⠀
Early this year, I branched out into doing something I had not done in a very long time, Wedding Photography, and I had so much fun! In order to continuously serve my clients and challenge my creative mind, as well as be the best photographer I can be, I’m constantly pushing myself to try new things.I will still limit myself on the amount of weddings I take on. However, I do enjoy making my clients happy and creating a legacy of images for my clients to last a lifetime. ⠀
Spring announcement is here:⠀
I am thrilled to share we have created Issue 1 of our Magazine PDF. This magazine can be downloaded by clicking the link in my bio and signing up for our newsletter when prompted on our website.⠀

As a portrait photographer and personal branding specialist with more than 7 years of experience working in a portrait studio., I can help you find a solution that meets your needs. You may know me as a portrait photographer, but did you know that I help small business owners curate content for marketing? Sound like something you dig? I’d love to meet you! Feel like hiding from the ahead? The time away can bring new goals and tons of new projects. While that’s exciting, it’s also a lot at once. Whenever I’m feeling the need Monday Motivation, I turn to my workout, to help get me inspired. What inspires you, friend?⠀
It’s officially April, and, spring’s been sprung since late last month for me! I have been down in Fort Lauderdale for some time where spring is typically always sunny with a light breeze, but my favorite thing about the spring is hatching new goals from brightly colored chocolate eggs.⠀
What do you love most about springtime? ⠀
Spring is around the corner and has me itching with Spring Break fever! So this season, I’m taking several weeks and spending it on the Celebrity Edge in the Eastern Caribbean. Where would you go if you took time off? I’d love to hear your recommendations!⠀
What fuels your fire? If I could pick only three things I love about being a photographer, I’d pick connecting with smart people, creating beautiful portraits for my clients that will live on for generations, and warm holidays. These are the things that make all the hard work, late nights, and sacrifices worth it. What would your three things be?
I’m not-so-great in the kitchen, but I’ve been cooking up a storm this week…but it’s not about food! I’ve been busy putting the finishing touches on my Mother's Day bookings and plans.
In fact, you might as well start calling me the Martha Stewart of Portrait Mother and Daughter Sessions because I’m about to serve up a Michelin-worthy feast for Mom's, Grandmother's, Aunties, and Daughters!
This is the view that you get for three hours while in a portrait session with me.
Lucy LUCKY you.
I’ve been photographer, content creator, BFF and and un-official therapist to my clients for going on 6 years now.
I used to pride myself on how much of my clients raved over their portraits that I created for them. These days, I realize, I am way more valuable to my clients as a photographer when I am able to listen to them and go deep with what they really need! I am a photographer, but I am so much more to my clients. 📸
I’m happy to say I’ve learned a lot along the way, so if you have any questions, leave them here and I’d be more than happy to answer!
This is a message for all the women that feel unimportant or not good enough.
You are seen, you are valued and you are important enough to be photographed. Your light shines from within and I can, through a portrait session, change the way you see yourself.
With love and adoration,
Anyone need some coffee?
Did you know that all my clients enjoy the luxury of walking into my studio and being offered the following:
• sparkling or flat water
• red or white wine
• small bites
Here it is... we have all been in that place where moving forward seems imposable. Where we are met with the option of sink or swim and swimming seems like the hardest thing in the world.
But we do it anyway. Because we have no other choice. Then, in in hindsight we realize we have just done something, overcome something, and learned that we are way stronger than we ever thought we were.
It's moments like these that shape us. They are gifts.
The woman who loves you unconditionally from birth, the one who puts her kids before herself and the one who you can always count on above everyone else - MOM. .
as defined by The Odyssey.
Here I am on a wet cold day and I am reading about the five languages of love.
According to Gary Chapman in 'The Five Love Languages' there are five ways that humans express heartfelt commitment to their mate.
l. Words of affirmation
3. Acts of Service
4. Quality time
5. Physical touch
😍For me, I love nothing better than when my boy will sit on the suitcase that I have way over packed to help me zip it up or reach for my favorite flower vase on the top shelf of the kitchen cabinet. That is the easiest way to make me swoon!
But, I learned that my favorite way to show love is acts of service. Going to the kitchen 15 minutes before he wakes up to make a fresh pot of coffee, toast a pastry that I bought the evening before, and get some fresh fruit plated to take up to the bedside table.
That's my way of showing love. What is yours?
Sometimes it seems like things never slow down. I go from hustling toward one new project to the next with hardly a chance to exhale. But when I do find moments to reflect and unwind, I love to do it with a long walk and strong coffee. Something about the velvety froth from a cappuccino makes for a perfect compliment to my need to chill. What’s your go-to beverage when you want to relax?
Reflect. Reflect on the person you were 10 years ago. How have you changed or grown in the last decade?
Now, imagine if you had loved yourself enough to be photographed then. You would have a beautiful folio box of images to reflect on. Don't wait. ☝️
Now is the time to start putting yourself first. A portrait session will change the way you see yourself, forever.
Excuse me Mr...? Are you getting my good side?
Ps. I am so focussed on my client here that I did not even notice the gentleman that is sneaking around the corner to get a behind the scenes photo.
Friendship. My friends are much more than they may seem. They are my identity.
They keep me grounded and move me forward through challenging and deep conversation. They keep my soul happy and joyful through silly/stupid antidotes about life.
What can I say... I am a lucky guy to have my friends in my life.
What about you friend? What do your friends mean to you?
Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. - Jim Rohn
Today, I remember when everything I now have achieved was just a goal. Just a thought.
Are you feeling crazy today?
Afternoon walks in Killingworth | CT Senior Portraits. SO MUCH FUN!
Found a cute healthy restaurant to watch the sun go down over the city ~ just me, my guy, & some yummie kale 😋
Tell me something about YOU before I get carried away...many of you already know I’m a photographer who posts a ton about my business, and not infrequently about my myself.
But every now and again I like to toss up a post that tells you some things about me you probably didn’t know. And since it’s properly winter outside, this posts theme will be entirely cold-weather related. Ready?
I have a love-hate relationship with winter weather. I always crave, obviously, grilled cheese to warm my soul. This winter, I’m really into weekend trips to FL.
I am so lucky this year... I am working on creating content with my mentor in Miami to market a fabulous new venture and I love nothing more than keeping little secrets from you so that when I am ready to share you are waiting with bated breath! Are you excited or what? lol
Ever wondered what really is important in life?
My clients tend to agree that the only thing that really matters are the memories we leave behind and, like me, they believe that success is only defined by the imprint we leave on the people we love.
Ever thought of leaving them with a memory of you?
Boy-oh-boy...Has it really been two months since the last time we spoke? I do believe I owe you a update so here is the deal:
I took a break from social media to plan a new mini-series. Yup, that's right - A TV series. Well... an IGTV series. So many of you enjoyed the personal insights, and a great deal of my followers identified with my perspective on life.
So, I have decided, in addition to adding video to showcase my portrait clients and what a photo session looks like (feels like) with my studio - I am also launching Coffee and Conversation this month. Me + my friends talking about topics that I believe you are interested in. Ie. relationships, weight loss, family dynamics etc.
Ps. the name is not set in stone yet so if you have any suggestions I am all ears!
Every November, it always seems extra important to acknowledge thankfulness for even the littlest things.
I’m thankful for my 5 senses, and that each fall my nose gets treated to the lovely scent of pumpkin chai candles from Nest.
As it happens I’m very serious about which scents I burn when, and before I move on to birchwood pine, I’ve got to revel in what I’ve got right now!
What are your favorite autumn aromas?
Who started a fire in your life? Who lit a passion for you?
Many thanks to Sue Bryce for igniting the dream of starting my business. I’m lucky to be a Portrait Photographer who loves capturing priceless memories.
Perhaps we can light the world on fire with our passion...who is that special person for you?
Repeating positivity is life changing!!
Whenever I need a boost of encouragement I repeat to myself I have the same number of hours in a day as Oprah!
It makes me giggle a bit, but guys! It’s TRUE! *And then I transform into Gayle King*
Do you have a mantra? Share yours in the comments below!
Close your eyes and make a list of people you’re thankful for. Ready? Thirty seconds, starting now…
Now that you’re back, I have to ask you a question: Were YOU on that list?
I’m glad you’re here! You may be a long-time follower or a newbie, but either way, I’d love to get to know you better and share a bit about what I do.
Please feel free to comment below with any questions you might have!

If you know me professionally, you know that I love empowering my clients.
But, if you know me personally, you will know that I love surrounding myself with empowered people. Men and women that have taken life by the horns and built a world for themselves that most people dream of.
Yona is no different. She embodies the term, POWERHOUSE. She is the owner of her own practice and she empowers landlords on a daily basis to be profitable.
I guess that is why we get along so well. So when she asked me to photograph new Personal Branding content for her website it was a big YES from me.
If you own a business, having STRONG personal branding photos it is the best thing you can do to empower yourself to book more clients and make more sales.
